GrooveX (Level 1)

Intro to Shuffle Dance

[Los Angeles Location Only]

GrooveX introduces the fundamentals of shuffle dance through step-by-step instruction, guided practice, and movement with music.

Students learn and practice essential shuffle movements, including the Running Man, T-Step, and Charleston, while developing rhythm, coordination, balance, transitions, and confidence. As students become more comfortable with individual steps, they begin connecting movements through simple step combinations and musical exercises.

GrooveX is designed as an ongoing Level 1 training program, allowing students to develop their foundation at a comfortable and consistent pace.

Minimum Training Requirement: A minimum of 16 completed instructional hours (approximately 4 months) is required before becoming eligible to progress to Level 2. Students are welcome to continue training in GrooveX beyond the minimum requirement until they feel comfortable and ready to move forward.

TechniX (Level 2.1)

Steps & Drills

TechniX builds upon the foundation developed in BasiX by expanding students’ shuffle vocabulary and strengthening technique through focused step training and drills.

Students learn additional shuffle steps, variations, transitions, directional changes, and movement patterns while continuing to develop coordination, control, rhythm, and consistency. Repetition and structured drills help students become more comfortable using a wider range of shuffle movements.

A minimum of 16 completed instructional hours in TechniX is required before a student becomes eligible to progress to FlareX (Level 3). Students may continue training in TechniX beyond the minimum requirement until they are comfortable and ready to move forward.

FlowX (Level 2.2)

Step Combos & Choreography

FlowX expands students’ ability to connect shuffle movements through longer and more varied step combinations and choreography.

Students work on transitions, timing, musicality, coordination, movement continuity, and the ability to maintain flow through changing step patterns. Choreography and combination training provide opportunities to apply an expanding shuffle vocabulary while developing greater confidence and movement awareness.

A minimum of 16 completed instructional hours in FlowX is required before a student becomes eligible to progress to VibeX (Level 3). Students may remain in FlowX beyond the minimum requirement until they feel comfortable and ready to move forward.

Recommended Training: For best results, we recommend taking FlowX alongside TechniX. Training in both programs allows students to develop their step technique and vocabulary while applying those skills to step combinations and choreography.

FlareX (Level 3.1)

Steps & Drills

FlareX continues the development of step technique and movement vocabulary through more detailed variations, transitions, patterns, and challenging drills.

Students work toward greater control, precision, coordination, speed adaptability, and versatility while learning to apply previously developed skills in increasingly varied ways. Training emphasizes consistent execution and the ability to move confidently between different steps and variations.

A minimum of 24 completed instructional hours in FlareX is recommended before progressing to the next level of the Steps & Drills track. Students are encouraged to remain in FlareX as long as needed to continue developing their skills and confidence.

VibeX (Level 3.2)

Step Combos & Choreography

VibeX develops choreography and performance quality through a wider variety of movement combinations, musical styles, and choreographic approaches.

Students continue strengthening transitions, timing, musicality, coordination, and flow while exploring how movement quality, dynamics, and expression can change the character of a dance. Choreography provides opportunities to bring together previously developed skills while building confidence and individual movement style.

A minimum of 24 completed instructional hours in VibeX is recommended before progressing to the next level of the Step Combos & Choreography track. Students may continue training in VibeX beyond the minimum requirement as they further develop their skills, musicality, and expression.

Recommended Training: For best results, we recommend taking VibeX alongside FlareX. Training in both programs allows students to continue developing their technique and step vocabulary while applying those skills to choreography, musicality, and movement expression.

DynamiX (Level 4.1)

Steps & Drills

DynamiX focuses on developing greater control, versatility, and dynamic movement through focused step training and advanced variations.

Students refine their technique while exploring changes in speed, direction, energy, levels, accents, and movement quality. Through challenging drills, step variations, and transitions, students develop greater precision, adaptability, coordination, and control in their shuffle movement.

DynamiX is designed to help students move beyond simply knowing the steps and develop the ability to execute them with greater range, consistency, and intention.

Minimum Training Requirement: A minimum of 5 months of consistent training is required to complete the Level 4.1 progression. Students may continue training in DynamiX beyond the minimum period to further develop their technique and movement quality.

For best results, we recommend taking DynamiX alongside StyleX (Level 4.2).

StyleX (Level 4.2)

Step Combos & Choreography

StyleX focuses on developing individual style, musical expression, and movement quality through step combinations and choreography.

Students explore how dynamics, timing, texture, accents, and musical interpretation can transform the way choreography is performed. Through a variety of combinations and choreographic styles, students learn to move beyond simply executing the sequence and develop greater confidence, individuality, and expression in their dancing.

StyleX is designed to help students discover how to make choreography their own while maintaining strong technique, musicality, and flow.

Minimum Training Requirement: A minimum of 5 months of consistent training is required to complete the Level 4.2 progression.

For best results, we recommend taking StyleX alongside DynamiX (Level 4.1).
